In BC, local election campaign contributions are regulated by Elections BC. See the high points below, or check out their more detailed website.
- Only BC residents who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can contribute.
- Contributions over $100 are publicly reported.
- Contributions under $50 can be made anonymously at in person events.
- Unlike for Federal & Provincial politics, no tax receipts for local government elections
